Hager CHERIF has over than twenty five years experience in the field of management including information systems, and in developing projects within the local governments and international organizations.
She experienced the challenges of integrating quality in services to citizen and gained practical experience in local governance and participatory democracy by promoting interactivity with citizens. At the International Association of Francophone Mayors AIMF, she acquired rich experience with specific expertise in re-engineering in African and Maghreb cities.
She designed many information systems, the management of civil status and the management of budgetary resources in Tunis that have been deployed in all Tunisian cities and even some African and Maghreb cities, and has contributed to the implementation of the pillars of e-government in Tunisia
She participated in the completion of several studies, including the strategic study of local development and the study of the development of financial resources, and hosted many seminars in Tunisia and abroad on local governance and modernization of the municipal administration.
As responsible for international relations, she managed to strengthen relationships with foreign countries. and was called frequently to make speeches and press conferences both inside and outside the country. she founded the first Think Tank of international affairs in Tunisia, and facilitated several meetings and think tanks with regional and international forums, was responsible for preparing analytical reports, including the new economy and global development, and directed an electronic publication of a monthly newsletter.
She is an activist in civil society and has organized major events mainly for training and coaching about social and cultural rights, for youth and women, in partnership with international organizations. she founded the Tunisian league of women in public sector and conducted in partnership with the International Public Management Didacthèque ENAP's of Quebec , several training sessions in public management and leadership skills for women, in Tunisia and Africa..
Ms. Cherif is currently active as an Expert Senior CILG with the VNG International and introduced new practices of territorial governance and strategic management likely to strengthen the autonomy and motivation of the players, and developed a dashboard for controlling performance in municipal management and good governance, according to the BSC approach. She is teaching at the International Polytechnic School, project management and risk management for master project manager degree.
Ms Cherif is an Industrial Engineer, she hold a Master in Professional techniques and urban management from the National School of Bridges and Roads ENPC of Paris and a risk management and geopolitical degree from the Institute of National Defense. She started her professional career at the Municipality of Tunis, in 1990, as a special assistant in the office of Mayor in charge of International Cooperation, to become the information systems Director in 2002 . She was appointed in 2008, responsible for international relations with the Prime Minister with the rank of Secretary of State, She fluently speaks Arabic, English, and French and she is interested to international affairs, political and public issues.
